Windows 10 has been out for a long time and is a free upgrade from Windows 8 and 8.1. Windows 8 and 8.1 will reach EoL in January 2023. Windows 7 reached end of life (EoL) in January 2020, meaning no more security updates and no patching of vulnerabilities – essentially a backdoor into any computer running on that operating system (OS).
